ATR (Average True Range)
How much this share typically moves in a day, in rupees.
ATR averages the daily trading range over the last 14 days, including any gap from the previous close. The answer is in rupees, not a percentage or a score.
It is the most practical measure of volatility: it tells you what a normal day looks like for this particular stock, so you can judge whether today's move is genuinely unusual.
An ATR of ₹106 on a ₹2,182 share means it routinely travels about 5% in a day. A ₹40 move in such a stock is unremarkable; the same ₹40 in a stock with an ATR of ₹8 would be a dramatic day.
ATR has no direction — it is equally large in a crash and a rally. High ATR means bigger swings both ways, not danger by itself.
