Double Top / Double Bottom

Price tests the same level twice and fails — an "M" at tops, a "W" at bottoms.

A double top: price hits a level, pulls back, rallies to nearly the same level, and fails again. Two attempts, same wall of sellers. Confirmed when the close breaks below the valley between the peaks — the "M" completes.

A double bottom is the mirror "W": the same floor bought twice, confirmed by a close above the bounce high between the two lows.

The two peaks (or lows) should be within ~3% of each other and separated by a real dip.

The second test on LOWER volume strengthens the reversal case — fewer believers left.

Until the valley (or bounce high) breaks, a "double top" is just a range — many resolve upward on the third attempt.
