Momentum Score & Momentum Rank

આ શેરનું price performance બીજા બધા score થયેલા શેરો સામે કેવું છે.

દરેક score થયેલો stock છેલ્લા એક વર્ષના price performance પર ranked હોય છે, અને એ ranking ને 1 થી 99 ના percentile માં ફેરવવામાં આવે છે. Score 97 નો અર્થ એ છે કે એ stock એ market ના લગભગ 97% stocks કરતાં વધુ સારું performance આપ્યું.

આ *relative* strength છે — બીજા શેરોની સામેની performance, કોઈ fixed benchmark સામે નહીં. પડતા market માં score 90 નો અર્થ એ પણ હોઈ શકે કે "મોટા ભાગના કરતાં ઓછું પડ્યું".

Rank એ raw position છે (દા.ત. 98મો) અને એ કેટલા મોટા list માંથી આવ્યો છે એ જાણ્યા વગર કોઈ અર્થ નથી ધરાવતો — એટલે જ Supath એને હંમેશા "98 of 3,917 scored stocks" એમ લખે છે, અથવા sector પ્રમાણે ranking હોય તો "3 of 23 in Metals & Mining" એમ.

Momentum Score 97/99, rank 98 of 3,917: આખા scored universe માં માત્ર લગભગ 97 શેરોએ જ આ સમયગાળામાં એનાથી સારું performance આપ્યું.

85 અને તેથી વધુ — મજબૂત momentum

70 થી 84 — સુધારો થઈ રહ્યો છે

40 થી 69 — સાધારણ

20 થી નીચે — પાછળ રહી ગયેલો

આને RSI સાથે કોઈ સંબંધ નથી, જોકે બંનેને ક્યાંક "relative strength" કહેવાય છે. RSI એક જ stock ની recent speed માપે છે; Momentum Score એક stock ને હજારો બીજા stocks સામે સરખાવે છે. Momentum પણ ભૂતકાળનું વર્ણન કરે છે — તે કોઈ forecast નથી.
