Market Capitalisation
The price tag on the whole company: share price × number of shares.
If every share were bought at today's price, this is what the company would cost. It is the honest measure of company size — the share price alone tells you nothing, because a ₹50 share and a ₹5,000 share say nothing about which company is bigger.
In India, size determines the official category: large cap (roughly the top 100 companies), mid cap (the next 150), and small cap (everything below). Those brackets are set by ranking, not by a fixed rupee figure.
₹2,182 per share × 23.6 crore shares = about ₹51,500 crore of market capitalisation.
Size and safety are related but not the same. Large caps are generally steadier and easier to sell in a hurry; small caps can grow faster and fall harder, and can be difficult to exit on a bad day.
